Hannah and Dagmar (off Marier)

It was the telephone wires that made me wish to paint this work. It was the challenge of the sky. The way the wires looked like a spiders web. I knew that I had to get these correct of else the painting would not work.

It was a cold day. I forget the temperature but it wasn't warm (about -14 degree celsius). It was the middle early March when I painted this canvas. A week earlier I had painted Shakespeare street (-26 degree celsius that day). It wasn't that cold, but it wasn't that warm either. A few people recognized me and said such things as, "Are you at it again."

A poet Andre Newton approached me and gave me some hot tea. He gave me a book he had written of his work. Very good poet. I visit him from time to time. Tea and conversation. Very good person.
