Call to Young Artists

Patrick John Mills Contemporary Fine Art Gallery is now accepting submissions from artists age 14 - 24 years old.

Please mail (no email) 5 - 10 images of art works to:

286 Hinchey Ave. Ottawa, Ontario, K1Y 1M2.

Deadline for Submissions is July 24st 2009.
Art work can be any medium. (painting, pottery, video, sculpture, photography, drawing, mixed medium… anything).

Please write a cover letter stating something about yourself, your passion, art, creativity, intentions….And self addressed envelop if you wish to have your material returned.

Six artists will be selected to participate and contacted by August 3rd 2009.

The exhibitions dates: August 13th - 23rd 2009.
Selected artists will be required to deliver their art work to the gallery August 6, 7 or 8th. Between 12 - 5 pm.

Each selected artist will have 6 feet of wall space to show case their work.

This exhibition will coincide with The Hintonburg Arts Festival (August 22 - 23rd).

The public will vote in a ballet.

Votes will be counted Sunday morning and prizes awarded at 1 pm August 23rd, 2009.

The winning artist will received a $250 cash prize, and 2nd and 3rd will receive some art materials.
