Landscape painting - painting outside in the night winter outside

There was more snow on the ground. The light reflects more.

It was cold. The paint was more like spagetti.

I worked on this painting from November to Feburary 2011.

This intersection is a few feet outside my studio door.

I would move my easel, palette, and paints outside and paint outside during the night.

The winter was very difficult... there was too much snow on the road. I could not see the pavement.

Wishing to avoid the bottom half of the canvas being too white and not connected to the sky. I had to delay painting some nights.
