Selected Sold Work:  1993 - 1997

Keith Thompson and I were walking down the streets of Vancouver.  We were taking down an exhibition and returning to the studio with 10 paintings in our arms. Along the way back we stopped to rotate work at Cross Town Traffic.

This guy off the street approaches us rather abruptly... 'I really like those paintings - how much?'   At first I did not take him seriously.  I walked into Cross Town to rotate the work... He wanted a private view on the sidewalk. 'How Much?', he said.  I picked out a ridiculously low amount (six hundred) to silence him. He says, 'Do you have any more?'. To entertain him we showed him two more.

He pulled out a loaf of bread of money and paid me right there for the small one. And said that if I could deliver this one (to the left) to his house tonight the rest of the money would be there for me. And it was.

He wanted to purchase more work, and we tried to arrange a studio visit. But I left Vancouver three days later.
