Self Portraits:  (March - April 2001) . A series of abstract expressionist self portraits. Seven abstract expressionist self portraits painted on oil on canvas / linen.

There is little to say that is not said in self portraits.  This series of self portraits followed The Sunflower Man (Encounters with Vincent) series.  The transition was not planned; in fact it was much to my surprise what was to follow The Sunflower Man.  Before I knew it I had complete six self portraits... and had started to spiral into a new series. When you are painting 50 - 60 hours a week... sometimes the lights in the room are turned off and you find that you have traveled down a road without realizing it.
