Wendy Mills' private collection: (Vancouver)

Neighborhood IX. Acrylic, impesto, newspaper, sawdust, finishing layer in oil on canvas. 28 x 52 inches. Fall - Winter 1997.

Wendy is my older sister. We lived together for a year and a half in Richmond (just outside of Vancouver). I painted in the car garage - converted into a studio. She went to school at University of British Columbia. I stayed home and painted, and helped look after her children (Tyler and Dylan). It was one of the most treasured times in my life... and an honor to be called Uncle Pat.

I loved telling bed time stories to Tyler and Dylan. Going to the park, treating them to junk food at the 7-11 corner store, and watching them grow up.
