I was so happy with the colours and brush work on the face of the bird.

A friend of mine (Chantal) visted the studio while I was working on this painting and said that bird needs a claw.... so it was added.

While doing this part of the painting I was thinking about Howard Hodgkins (so this section is a tribute to him)
