I was very inspired by some paintings by David Hockney. Annely Juda Fine Art Gallery (just off Old Bond Street) had a David Hockney exhibition in 1996. The show was called 'Flowers, Faces and Spaces'. I never went to the show for I was not in London at the time, but a friend of mine Michael Harding let me borrow the catalogue of the exhibition and I was very impressed the the richness of colour in David Hockney 's paintings.

To be honest I do not gravitate towards paintings of flowers, and to be completely honest I rather hate such works of art. But my wife (Erika Mills) and I have been spending a lot of time our back garden recently.

I have always admired David Hockney for he works very hard. And has always pushed and challenged himself. I would like to share with you some of the painting of David Hockney that inspired me, but due to copywrite laws I do not think that that would be appropriate.
