I painted this work while I was living in New Mexico (Taos). I planned to stay the summer in New Mexico, but due to intense stomach problem I only stayed in Taos for a few weeks. I painted a lot while down in Taos, but cut up almost everything... and to the best of my knowledge this is the only surviving painting from this period.
