My wife and I drove to Southend on Sea for a painting picnic. We filled the car with painting equipment, a blanket, and a basket of food. I did not bring an easle... fear of the wind blowing too hard and my painting falling onto the ground. Working on the ground wasn't easy for the sand kept finding its way onto the canvas. Half the time I was painting... the other half I was brushing the tiny grains of sand off.
