Painting in studio - Summer series painting

 

I love the texture of this painting. I used over 30 large tubes of oil paint.

The painting is extremely heavy. It will be not be easy to hang / support this painting on the wall.

The painting will take month / years to dry.

I really had a great time painting working on the painting.

Over the last week I have been painting like fucking crazy. I have been working most nights until 3 am - 5 am in the morning. It has been extremely hard on me... just working too hard. I had to not go to the studio today... my mouth is having cuts inside from the intensity of working. So I am going to rest and watch some movies and veg out. In the last two weeks I have complete 12 or 13 paintings. I have used over 100 large tubes of paint. Very expensive week in the studio. Fuck me. I have managed to complete three large Summer paintings and two small works... but they are so so so wet that I can not move them. These paintings will take months to years to dry. Very difficult to move, store, transport, exhibit.... but they are fucking great. thank you Patrick

Have not figured out the price.. due to the amount of paint used... ?

I get so focused when I paint. My eyes become so open / windows. Raccoon eyes.

 

I forget about everything... so high on art.

 

I am using a drywall palette knife... needed to push the composition to larger elements.

 

I am lost in paint... better than anything... this creative plane.

I have never done drugs... but I feel like a crack head on paint.
